Shot QR is a QR code scanner and generator app built with Flutter. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights.
1 Information We Do NOT Collect
Shot QR does not:
- Collect or transmit personal information to our servers
- Require account registration or login
- Use analytics SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar)
- Share your QR code history or scanned content with anyone
- Track your location
2 Data Stored Locally on Your Device
All data the app creates is stored only on your device using a local database (Hive). This includes:
- QR codes you have scanned or created (content, type, colors, labels, creation date)
- Favorites and history
- App settings (theme, sound, vibration, clipboard preferences)
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share a QR code using your device's share function.
You can delete all stored data at any time from the app's Settings screen.
3 Device Permissions
The app requests the following permissions for the described purposes:

| Internet | Load advertisements (AdMob) and optionally shorten URLs via the is.gd service |
Permissions are only used for the stated purposes. Camera access is only active while the scanner screen is open.
4 Third-Party Services
4.1 Google AdMob (Advertisements)
Shot QR displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalized ads in accordance with Google's privacy policies. This may include:
- Device identifiers (advertising ID)
- IP address
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

4.2 URL Shortening (is.gd)
When you use the optional URL shortening feature, the URL you enter is sent over HTTPS to the is.gd service to generate a shortened link. No other user data is included in this request.

This feature is entirely optional. If you do not use it, no data is sent to is.gd.
5 Clipboard Access
If you enable the "Copy to Clipboard" setting, the content of a scanned QR code is automatically copied to your device clipboard. This action is local to your device and no data is sent externally.
6 Children's Privacy
Shot QR does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
7 Data Security
Since all user data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's security features (lock screen, encryption, etc.). We do not store any of your data on external servers.
8 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
